Ken Miller is retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs and is a home owner in the District. Mr. Miller serves on the Board’s Security and Economic Development Committees. Mr. Miller is also active in the community serving on the Inwood Forest Community Improvement Association, as a Charter Member of the Greater Inwood Partnership, president of the Near Northwest Commuity Improvement Corporation and is a member of the NNCIC Conservancy Committee which acquires on park land and green space for the District . Mr. Miller has spoken before the Texas Legislature on numerous issues of concern to the community and has been involved in both District petition drives. |

Dorothy Miller is the vice president and owner of Commercial Equipment & Sales, a global supplier of electric motors and controls. Ms. Miller serves as Chairman of the Board and Legislative Liason in addition to her work on the Board’s Budget, Beautification and Economic Development committees. Ms. Miller is a charter member and leader in the Greater Inwood Partnership, active in the Greater Inwood Super Neighborhood, and is a leader at Hope Episcopal Church serving as head of outreach and on as an Advisory Committee Member of the National Episcopal Church. |

Larry Rideaux is Associate Vice President of Lone Star College. Dr. Rideaux has more than 15 years of experience in promoting student success in both public and private educational institutions. His educational and career background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Lamar University, a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University, and an Ed. D. in Community College Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004. He has served as director of Multicultural Services at Texas A&M University-Galveston (TAMU), assistant registrar at South Texas College of Law, assistant dean of enrollment services and dean of Student Services/Enrollment Management at Lone Star College-Tomball. Dr. Rideaux recently served as executive director for Achieving the Dream at the Lone Star College System and is currently the System’s associate vice chancellor for Student Success. |

Heidi Sheesley has been the owner of Treesearch Farms since 1982. Ms. Sheesley is a wholesale grower of trees and plants. She is actively involved with Urban Harvest and has donated many of the trees planted along District thouroughfares. Ms. Sheesley is working with the District to enhance the liveabillity of our area though beautification of our environment and educating the community to grow and care for plants. | |

Mike Carpenter is the Chairman & CEO of Carpenter Asset Management which develops, owns and operates numerous properties throughout southeast Texas. He is also the owner of several commercial properties and is involved in commercial property management and development in the District. Mr. Carpenter serves on the Board’s Security and Economic Development committees as well as being instrumental in starting SuperBlock One and Two. Additionally, he serves as president of the Southeast Texas Apartment Association, director of the Texas Apartment Association and as a director on the National Affordable Housing Management Association. |

Jim Kilpatrick is a Senior Vice President of WPA Group who provides collateral reviews and appraisals of equipment and personal property to banks and other lenders. Mr. Kilpatrick has been a home owner in the District since 1973 and serves on the Board’s Budget and Economic Development Committees. He was president of the Inwood Forest Community Improvement Association for 12 years and has also been active with the Houston PBS affiliate. Mr. Kilpatrick was appointed as an Admiral in the Texas Navy by the State of Texas in the mid 80s. |

Mr. Burchfield has managed his own family’s firm since 1972 and has brokered more than $250 million dollars of commercial properties from retail to heavy industrial and has developed and built apartment projects, retail projects, light industrial buildings, subdivisions and a golf course, warehouse complexes and residential constructions. |
